What else can I tell you about hmmm! How about another little fun fact about me? I am originally from Montana. What about Historic Deadwood am I looking most forward to this year? As of right now I really want some of that Cajun cooking during Mardi Gras! It maybe the fact that I haven’t had breakfast, but I just can’t get my mind off of that Cajun food!
Mardi Gras is getting closer and I am getting really excited for my first event here with the Deadwood Chamber of Commerce. Remember to come to Deadwood for Mardi Gras which will be held on March 4-5. Happy Friday everyone and have a fun weekend!
Hello Deadwood fans, It is Valerie again on my second day of my internship. Just a little fun fact about me I am a fourth year student at Black Hills State University. Every day we are getting closer and closer to Deadwood Mardi Gras. The thing I am most excited about would be the Cajun Cook-Off, but it is close to lunch time for me. For the Cajun Cook-Off there will be a public tasting with donations encouraged for a local charity. The other event that I am fired up for would be the Deadwood’s Annual Mardi Gras Parade. The parade runs up the historic Main Street in Deadwood where over 50,000 beads are thrown into the crowd. There is much more to Deadwood Mardi Gras, but you all will have to stay tuned for my next blog. Have a warm and happy day!
Hello everyone my name is Valerie I am the new intern for Deadwood Chamber of Commerce and I will be blogging here for a while. I enjoy Deadwood because of all the events that they have throughout the year and I am proud to say that I will be contributing to the events this coming year. I am excited for the Historic Deadwood’s Mardi Gras, which will be held March 4-5. Mardi Gras will be the first event that I will get to put my helpful hands to work. This year the King and Queen of Mardi Gras will be found via Facebook, so if you haven’t already found us on Facebook look us up by typing in Historic Deadwood. Hope everyone has a fun filled, but safe weekend.
