I've been looking around blog.deadwood.com and actually am impressed by the good content material here. I work the nightshift at my job and it really gets boring. I've been coming here for the previous couple nights and reading. I just needed to let you know that I've been enjoying what I have seen and I look ahead to reading more.

How about getting Sherwin Linton and "The Cotton Kings" for Wild Bill Days? Linton and "The Cotton Kings" are performing at the Central States Fair on the free McDonald's Stage this year. A group out of the Denver area sings Beach Boy songs. The group performed with "Abbey Road Band" in Rapid City during the Fourth of July event at the Fairgrounds. This group would be great for Kool Deadwood Nites.

I am counting down the days until i visit Deadwood and the Blackhills once again for my fall vacation. To think! I am turning down Las Vegas for Deadwood. Want to know what my South Dakota connection is? I was the first publisher to publish Lori Armstrong, a great writer who lives in South Dakota! Her short story Porcelain is s featured in our book Who Died In Here? What an honor for our little Minnesota company. In fact Lori has been nominated two years in a row for the Shamus Award from the Private Eye Writers of America.

Ever since meeting South Dakota authors like Jo May Steen, Lori, Lance Zarimba , Sen. George McGovern and others, I have become addicted to the state. Not only are the folks friendly inn South Dakota but they're smart to boot.

This will be our first time to Rapid City/Badlands area. We are staying for five days. We are looking forward to spending a full day at Deadwood on 28 Jul. We have already reserved our seats for the Day's of '76 Rodeo.

We were in Deadwood 2 years ago on vacation. We came back this year for Wild Bill Days and had a blast!!! The shoot outs are really neat. Went downstairs and saw the train display. Wathed Trick Pony do their sound check. Had coffee in Saloon No. 10. Also while we were out we went to Tatanka, walked through the cemetary and took a drive through Needles hwy. Dodged a few tornado's. Previous to comming to Deadwood this year we had been to the Rocky Mountains and the Omaha Zoo. It was a pretty fantastic way to spend our vacation/honeymoon. We absolutely LOVE it out there (we live in Wisconsin)and do plan on a visit again in the future. There is so much history there, and so much to see. I can't wait to go back.

We come to your town about every 2 years with some friends from Howard. We are from Central Illinois so it is a blast to travel out there and we always have a great time in Deadwood. We love the buildings, food, entertainment and of course the gambling. Keep up the good work.

I was looking at your home page and I guess since I have worked at a famous park here in St.Louis Mo. I have the feeling that deadwood today is nothing but a tourist trap. From the picture's I have to wonder that other than the cemetry what is actualy real and what has been made up.
