Satisfy your inner chef by learning from industry pros during Deadwood’s first annual Forks, Corks & Kegs event April 10-12. The event is hosted by Andrew Zimmern, host of Bizarre Foods and Bizarre World on the Travel Channel.

Forks, Corks & Kegs will kick off on Thursday, April 10, with the Taste of Home Cooking School. This event at Deadwood Mountain Grand is America’s leading cooking school program, where attendees will experience a two-hour demonstration of exciting recipes. Taste of Home Culinary Specialists show step-by-step instructions on how to create satisfying and flavorful dishes. Everyone receives a gift bag and a Taste of Home cookbook, as well as the chance to register for door prizes, including the recipes created on stage that night.

On Friday, April 11, Andrew Zimmern – a James Beard Award-winning TV personality, chef, food writer and teacher – will take the stage for a demonstration at Deadwood Mountain Grand. Zimmern is widely regarded as one of the most versatile and knowledgeable personalities in the food world.

As the creator, host and co-executive producer of Travel Channel’s hit series, Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern, Andrew Zimmern’s Bizarre World and his new series, Bizarre Foods America, he travels the globe, exploring food in its own terror. From world class restaurants to street carts and jungle markets, Zimmern is all about discovering and sharing the authentic experience as a way to interpret the way we live our lives so we can make better choices for our future.

Prior to Zimmern taking the stage, event goers can visit with him during a reception and book signing.

After Zimmern’s performance on April 11, attendees can make their way to a variety of Deadwood restaurants as part of the Forks, Corks & Kegs appetizer crawl.

Saturday, April 12, features the Deadwood Dine Around, where chefs around Deadwood will demonstrate their favorite meals along with wine, beer and cocktail pairings in their kitchens. A Grand Tasting will feature all participating wineries, breweries and restaurants top choices at one location, and a cigar and beer tasting will also be held. The day also includes Executive Chef Kristian Morgan from the Fontanel Mansion in Nashville donning the chef’s hat at Deadwood Mountain Grand.

The Ultimate Festival Pass, which is $50, includes all Forks, Corks & Kegs festivities, including the Taste of Home Cooking School, Andrew Zimmern, Deadwood Dine Around, Grand Wine Tasting, Cigar Party, ultimate late-night appetizer pub crawl and more.
