Get excited for summer with Deadwood’s annual kick off to summer bash, Wild Bill Days! Wild Bill Days returns June 13-15 and features a star-studded entertainment line-up as well as true crowd favorites.

This free event organized by the Deadwood Chamber of Commerce features a Main Street concert series as well as national DockDogs competition, Old West and Firearms Auction and Show, gold panning, the first annual Midnight Cowboy 5k Walk/Run and more. Headlining the free concerts are Diamond Rio and Pure Prairie League, along with top regional acts such as the SideHackers, Brock Finn, the Abbey Road Band, Lonely Rangers and Chancey Williams and the Younger Band.

Country superstars Diamond Rio will bring their catalog of #1 hits to Wild Bill’s Main Street stage on Friday, June 13. Their hits include “Beautiful Mess,” “Meet in the Middle,” “I Believe,” “Love a Little Stronger,” “One More Day,” and “In a Week or Two.” American country-rock band Pure Prairie League hits the stage Saturday, June 15 with favorite hits like “Amie,” “I’m Almost Ready,” “Let Me Love You Tonight,” “Can’t Stop the Feelin’” and “Still Right Here in my Heart.”

The free music begins at 5 p.m. on Friday, June 13 and 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 14.

The high-flying DockDogs will return for a 5th year, with the show a crowd favorite at its location right on Main Street. The event is open to all dogs, and there are a number of classes. Registration is currently open.

A sluice box and gold panning demonstration will also take place on Main Street during Wild Bill Days, and visitors can try their hand at finding gold. The Old West and Firearms Show and Auction, held at Deadwood Mountain Grand, features some of the top Old West relics and plenty of vendors on-hand with rare and unique wares.

2014 Wild Bill Days will also feature the first annual Deadwood Midnight Cowboy Run, which begins at midnight on June 14, after Friday night’s festivities. This 5K walk/run will serve as a fundraiser for the Northern Hills Alliance for Children.
