The cold snap of weather is finally behind us, and the weekend is shaping for a top-notch event weekend. Weather should be in the 40s, maybe the 50s, and the sun should shine — sounds like the makings for some good ol-fashioned fun!
There are plenty of things happening this weekend; many properties have food and drink specials, bands will be out, and open containers will be allowed on Deadwood’s Main Street from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday (and 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Tuesday, St. Patrick’s Day). At noon on Saturday, pub crawl and poker run registration begins. This will take place at the Franklin Hotel’s Callahan’s Bar. The poker run and pub crawls start at 2 p.m. The evening gets into high gear at 7 p.m. with a parade. There will also be a parade at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
It’ll be green in Historic Deadwood!
On a sidenote, Historic Deadwood has a group page on Facebook and MySpace. Do a search for Historic Deadwood and you’ll find us. Join our group!
Have a great weekend all and hope to see you soon!
